Questions About Christianity
What is Christianity? Cross

Christianity is a term used to refer to the movement of belief that Jesus
Christ is the "Anointed One"  - the fulfillment of God's plan for His creation.   Those who believe Jesus of Nazareth is the Savior of the world through his death, burial and resurrection are referred to as Christians.

What is meant by "salvation"?

Salvation means you have been "saved" from the consequences of  sin.  All have sinned through Adam, and the consequences of sin is "death" -separation from God for eternity.  Salvation means you have received by grace, through faith, forgiveness of your sins.  That is what Jesus paid for by His death, burial, and resurrection.  The result is fellowship with God for eternity.

How do you become saved?

Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved. (Acts 16:31)

If you believe in your heart God raised Jesus from the dead, and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, you shall be saved. (Romans 10:9,10)
